Women DI College Top 25 - November 8, 2011
Rankings - Women DI College

Much has happened this fall to shake up the RUGBYMag.com Women’s DI college top 25. Brown, which lost early in the season to Navy, rebounded and won the Northeast by defeating reigning DI champion Army. NC State emerged as a real player in the South after downing the two teams ranked ahead of them … without much trouble, we might add.

OSU turned it on in the second half of the season to earn a spot in the top 25.

Women’s Cougar Rugby (BYU) got into a tougher league, and started winning by enormous margins. And Ohio State, Texas and Arizona State all did things to move into the top 20. The Scrum by the Sea tournament saw many of the California-area teams face off for the first time this season, and those early-season results affected the shifts as well.

The Midwest has one more weekend of territorial play, and that will mark the end of post-season for those teams as well as the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic in 2011. The west coast will continue to play some friendlies and have the opportunity to move up the rankings.
