We're only a few weeks in, but the women's DI college scene already has some stories of note popping up. One of the most interesting evolutions is occurring in the Ivy League. Perennial conference champion and national semifinalist Brown isn't the team it's been the last few years, even though they're sitting pretty at 3-0 right now. Brown began the season with a 10-5 win over Ivy newcomer Cornell and 10-0 victory over Dartmouth. If anyone's going to take Brown's title, it's going to be Princeton (3-0). The Tigers defeated Cornell 39-10 and Radcliffe 34-12 thus far, and one of the two undefeated streaks will be broken this weekend when the two standings leaders face off.

In the Pacific Mountain conference, only the West division is playing league games in the fall, and Air Force is the team making waves right now. They're 2-0 with two close wins over Colorado (22-19) and Colorado State (14-10), but it's better than Air Force has done in recent memory. Women's Cougar Rugby is expected to win the division, but with Air Force already mixing up the second-place race, the season already looks to be a heated one.

It's the same deal in the Big 10. Teams can gauge their comparative strength by the point differentials in their Penn State games. The reigning DI champ has already posted 216 points while only allowing one try. There's no doubt PSU will continue those numbers throughout the fall.

Norwich is putting up even bigger numbers in New England. The current DII champ joined NERFU's DI this year and hasn't encountered any road bumps along the way. Four weeks into the season, and the Cadets are 3-0, haven't been scored upon, and have racked 416 points-for. DI rankings will be released this week, and Norwich will certainly join the upper echelon.
