Lia Ramsey set a new Lindenwood record with four tries as the Lady Lions prevailed over Truman State 30-10 Saturday at a neutral site in Kansas City, Kan. Ramsey led the Lindenwood offense from the start as she opened scoring 12 minutes into the first half. The Bullets responded to tie the game at five a few minutes later, but Lindenwood would begin to pull away from there. Ramsey added her second try of the half and flanker Shanna Sutton scored as well to give the Lady Lions a 15-5 lead at the break. Truman State scored early in the second half to pull within five, but the Lindenwood defense clamped down after that, fueled by two key tackles from Jolene Stiebel. Ramsey scored two more times and Ria Colemire added a try of her own to finish off the victory. The win improves Lindenwood to 3-0 on the season. The Lady Lions will put that record on the line twice this week as they travel to Charleston, Ill. to face Eastern Illinois at 4pm Thursday and to Macomb, Ill. for a conference game against Western Illinois at 12pm Sunday.
