USA men's 7s team Head Coach Alex Magleby has named his squad to play in the next two legs of the HSBC Sevens World Series, in Dubai and Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
The squad includes World Series debutants Nate Augspurger, recently of the University of Minnesota and the YoungBloodz 7s program, and Jack Halalilo of the East Palo Alto Bulldogs.
Back on the squad is Nick Edwards, who is also now the proud owner of a United States passport. Also returning to the squad is Colin Hawley, after some personal time, and Folau Niua, back from injury.
Players who participated in the Gold Coast 7s last month but are not in this squad are Mike Palefau (settling into a new job), Peter Dahl (with USA 15s team), Luke Hume (with USA 15s team), Tai Enosa and Rocco Mauer.
Shalom Suniula will captain the squad, with Zack Test and Matt Hawkins two more veteran leaders. The rest of the team is very young, with Maka Unufe only having played in a handful of tournaments, and Brett Thompson, Mike Te'o, and Carlin Islaes all having played in just one.
