Eagles Blast Kenya
Sevens - USA Sevens Men

EThe 7s Eagles rebounded from consecutive close losses to England and Australia to pound Kenya 29-14 in their final pool match Saturday in Glasgow.

Mike Palefau opened scoring in the first minute, dotting down after a nice display of hands from him and Colin Hawley. Prop Andrew Durutalo scored next, and with the conversion, put USA up 12-0 early.

Kenya then got on the board with a converted try, but Nu'u Punimata negated it with a score of his own when he scooped up a dropped ball and ran in to put the Eagles up 17-7 at halftime.

Mauer put the nail in the coffin by scorching Kenya for two tries to open the second half, pushing the Eagles lead out to 29-7. Tai Enosa was pinged with a yellow card, allowing the Kenyans to score before the final hooter.

1-2 in pool play, the USA takes on Russia Sunday in the bowl qarterfinals.
