The USA team is set to start their Pan-Am Games campaign on a sunny and warm Guadalajara morning.

They will christen Estadio Tlaquepaque, the first purpose-built rugby stadium in Mexico.

Pan-Am Rugby press liaison Gabriele Nanni said he is excited to see the stadium in use.

"This will be a tremendous tournament, but also I am personally excited because after the Pan-Am Games this stadium will be where my club, Los Lobos, will play. That will be wonderful for us and I hope rugby in Mexico."

The USA starts their tournament at 11am Central Time against Chile.
