Minutes later Filimoni Botitu came off his wing to enter the line and cross the tryline untouched in a nice move. OPSB were starting to win the physical battles at this point and dominate territory, while Denver was starved of possession and unable to get much going. OPSB added a fourth try just before the half, prop and captain Josh Osborn popping up in the backline to get the five points. The second half started as the first half ended, with OPSB scoring tries. They notched two more unconverted scored to lead 30-0. But Denver didn't wilt and spent a longer period dominating possession and territory. Eventually, that resulted Hunter Leland going over for a try. Botitu scored his second in reply - this one finally converted. Denver would get one more, but Old Puget Sound won fairly comfortable, and will look ahead now to hosting San Francisco Golden Gate next week. That game will be a preview of May 26th's semifinal, also to be played in Seattle. |
