Old Blue Hungry for Victory
Clubs - Elite Cup / RSL

The Old Blue rugby club were edged 27-25 last week against Life University, and that loss has stuck with them somewhat.

Despite putting in markedly improved performances this super league season, OBNY sits only 1-2. As they travel to Dallas to face the Harlequins, club president Quentin Unsworth knows 0-2 Dallas is also desperate for a win.

"I think we're both in need of a win," he said. "This is definitely not the kind of game you can look past."

Coming so close to upsetting the 2011 RSL runners up might have bolstered Old Blue's confidence, but Unsworth said that wasn't necessary.

"I think we were feeling confident coming into the game," Unsworth told RUGBYMag.com. "That hasn't changed. We did very well in the scrums and lineouts. We did a lot of good things. We just didn't win."

For this weekend's game, head coach Marty Veale wants to see improvement across the board. Little changes all through their game, said Unsworth, are what are needed if Old Blue wants to be talking playoffs later this spring.
