The New York Athletic Club defeated Olympic Club on a tour friendly in San Francisco, scoring three tries in overtime to win 43-22.

NYAC went up 19-0 before O-Club came surging back to tie the game, and at 80 minutes ended with the teams deadlocked 22-22.

In overtime, the AC ran in three tries, all converted by Rob Johnson, and ran away with a game that had been as close as any until then.
