The accident killed four of five in the car, with the fifth, also an Oakland rugby player, in the hospital.

All four dead teenagers were in a reggae band Valufa.

David "Momo" Moa, No. 8 for the Oakland Warthogs when they won the NorCal Youth Varsity Silver Division in 2011. He was the son of David Moa of the Oakland Barbarians Men's Team. Momo was attending and playing football at Laney College.

Soasi "George" Moa, tighthead prop for the 2011 Warthogs and son of Lani Moa of the Oakland Barbarians Men's Team. A joyful, likable young man.

Rachel Fisi'iahi played front row for the Alameda Riptide team in the 2010-11 season and was a student at CCSF.

Malia Moa was David Moa's youngest sister. She was a Senior at Castlemont High School, in Oakland.

In addition to the death of these four, Hunter Halatoa was injured and in a coma, but is reportedly out of the coma and still recovering in hospital care.

The devastated families are now facing huge funeral costs. The Oakland rugby community is asking for donations to help pay for the funerals for these four young people.
