ACRL Winners Have Two Goals
Sevens - Collegiate Sevens

The Atlantic Coast Rugby Sevens Championships is a double-qualification tournament, as the winner will automatically qualify for both the USA Rugby national college 7s championships and the USA 7s LLC Collegiate Rugby Championship held next year at PPL Park in the Philadelphia area.

So much is at stake for the ten teams gathering at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex in Virginia Beach, Va for the two-day tournament this weekend.

Navy, ranked #12 in the latest RUGBYMag.com rankings, heads up a tough Pool B that includes Maryland, who were Challenger (Plate) Runners Up in the 2012 CRC.

The Terps have been ranked by RUGBYMag this fall but are just out of the Top 25 at present.

Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest round out Pool B.

A competitive Pool A features Florida State, Clemson, 2011 winners NC State, North Carolina, and Virginia. NC State is a hard-nosed team that financed their trip to the 2012 CRC by cleaning out horse stalls at $2 a stall. They are currently ranked #23 by RUGBYMag.

The other three are not ranked, but all are really close and are in the list of potential teams.
