All 32 spots in the USA 7s Collegiate Rugby Championship Qualifier at the Las Vegas Invitational (www.lvirugby.com) are full.

After Miami University signed up this weekend, the last spot has been taken up. The teams run the gamut, from those that have already played at the CRC main tournament in June (www.usasevenscrc.com), to those that finished high up at the recent USA Rugby championship, to smaller schools looking to develop their 7s portfolio.

Davenport University was the first team to sign up. The varsity program did not do especially well in their Midwest tournament September 3, finishing 1-3, and are looking to improve. And the team that won that Midwest title, Miami, is the last to sign up.

The tournament will be held Feb 9-11 at the Star Nursery Fields next to Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, during the same weekend as the USA 7s international competition (www.usasevens.com).

Two pool games are slated for Thursday, Feb 9, with the final pool match and quarterfinals for Cup, Plate, Bowl and Shield on Friday Feb 10. Then on Saturday, Feb 11, the semis and finals for each bracket will be held. The Cup Final will be held in Sam Boyd Stadium during a break in the USA 7s action.
