For the Navy Midshipmen, jumping from 15s to 7s will be a bit easier this year than last year at the USA 7s Collegiate Rugby Championships.

Having played in 3 tournaments this season, Navy is a little more used to the flow of the 7s game. Navy placed high among several men’s clubs in the Turkey Trot tournament and took second in the Subaru 7s tournament this past weekend.

“We are obviously excited but we are going to go about it like business as usual,” Navy player Sean Rohrs said. “We are just going to feed off our experience and follow our game plan.”

However, the only thing that might shake concentration of the Midshipmen is the field ahead. “We haven’t seen UNC play yet and know very little about them,” Rohrs said. “But we do know about Central winning Vegas and we know that every time we play Army, it’s always a battle to the final whistle.”
