Note: this article is updated here - Suniula will not be playing at nationals this weekend) Shalom Suniula has been granted an eligibility waiver and will join Belmont Shore at Club 7s Nationals Saturday and Sunday at Treasure Island in San Francisco, Calif.

Suniula took some time off this summer to get married and didn't play in the requisite two tournaments to be eligible, but partially at the behest of Eagle 7s coach Alex Magleby, who wants to see potential Eagles competing at Nationals and the National All Star Championships if possible, Suniula has been granted a waiver.

Suniula led Belmont to the National Championship last summer and will provide an injection of talent and experience into a new-look team with a lot of fresh faces.
