Daytona Wins South at the Death
Sevens - Club Sevens

Daytona Beach claimed the #1 men's 7s club seed coming out of the South after a last-second defeat of previously unbeaten Charlotte in the territorial final Saturday.

Charlotte had beaten Daytona 19-12 earlier in the day, and after Daytona beat Atlanta Old White, the two earned the right to face off for the #1 seed.

Charlotte took an early 5-0 lead, before Daytona scored three times to lead 19-5 at halftime.

Charlotte rebounded, scoring two tries, the last one just before full time, to tie the game at 19-19. But on the restart, Charlotte was offside. Daytona took the penalty at halfway, and worked their way to the winning try, taking the game 24-19.

Charlotte also qualifies for the national championships with the #2 seed out of the South.
