The Chicago Lions have clinched the #1 seed in the Midwest by showing up at the Rock Hard 7s in Grand Rapids and winning their opener against Western Michigan, therefore guaranteeing them not to be last. 

In fact, the Lions have at this writing made the semifinals of the final tournament in the four-event Midwest Series, and that will give them at least 57 points for the season, easily the most in the Midwest.

Meanwhile, Youngbloodz needed a decent showing to be sure of their #2 seed, and have done exactly that, beating Indianapolis and the Chicago Blaze on their way to a semifinal berth. Youngbloodz now will finish the season with no fewer than 45 points, easily second-most in the series.

The Lions will be in Group D of the National Championships along with the Tama Laie Lions of Hawaii, the West #2, and the Southern California #2.

Youngbloodz will be in Group C of the National Championships along with the champions from Pacific Coast and the South, and the #2 team from the Mid-Atlantic.

All of the seeds to nationals will be decided today, except Hawaii, which already has been decided (Tama Laie).
