Six Champs Crowned at Surfside 7s

Sevens - Club Sevens

Stone Harbor, NJ - Played in 95+ degree heat in the South Jersey shore town of Stone Harbor, the 2011 Surfside 7s attracted 60 teams and crowned champions in six different categories.

Men’s Club - Shockers
The Shockers won the championship of the 20-team Men’s Club Division with a 21-14 overtime win over Monmouth in the final. The Shockers defeated the Charlie Melody Selects in one semifinal while Monmouth defeated Media in the other.

Men’s College - Scranton
Scranton won the championship of the 8-team Men’s College Division with a 19-7 win over 428 West (St Joseph’s Prep Alumni) in the final.

Boy’s High School – NJ Blaze
The New Jersey Blaze won the Championship of the 12-team Boy’s High School Division with a 26-0 win over Cardinal O’Hara in the final.

Women’s Club – Chesapeake
The Chesapeake WRFC won the 8-team Women’s Club Division with a 14-5 defeat of Monmouth in the final.

Women’s College – Penn State
Penn State won the 8-team Women’s Collegiate Division with a 24-0 shutout of James Madison in the final.

Old Boys – Courage High Life
Courage High Life defeated the Lost Boys 19-5 to win the championship of the 4-team Old Boys Division.
