Old Blue New York won New Haven 7s Saturday, defeating both of Boston's sides en route to their first qualifier title of the summer.

Old Blue, undefeated throughout the first two games in pool play, started reserves in a loss to Boston II in their pool finale, pitting themselves against Boston I in one semifinal, and Boston II against Long Island in the other.

Boston II advanced to the championship match with a 24-7 defeat of Long Island, but they wouldn't meet their clubmates in the final, because in the other semifinal, Boston's first side dropped its first loss of the summer, 33-21, to Old Blue. The New Yorkers then avenged their pool loss to Boston II in the final, 21-7. No third place game was played, but Boston I was deemed the consolation champ.

The Northeast Championships are July 23 in New York, hosted by the Village Lions. Below are the eight teams who will compete for the Northeast's two bids to Nationals, preceded by seed and succeeded by point total.

3. Boston II 36

5. Middlesex 26
