Pittsburgh, Pa. - It was power from the Northwest that fueled the Pacific Coast Friday.
San Juanita Moreno and Ashley Kmiecik each scored three tries, and flyhalf Megan Sanders notched 30 points from two tries and five conversions as the Pacific Coast thrashed the Eastern Development team 72-8 in the second semifinal of Tier @ of the USA Rugby Women's National All-Star Championships. Moreno plays for ORSU in Portland, Ore., while Kmiecik plays for the Emerald City Mudhens in Seattle, and Sanders plays for their rivals, the Seattle Rugby Club.
Pac Coast will take on the West in the Tier 2 final Sunday.
