Two second-half intercept tries from Conor Trainor, both converted, were enough to earn Canada a 26-24 victory over Argentina and the gold medal at the Pan American Games. Argentina scored just as many tries as Canada, including one at full time to draw within two, but the conversion sailed wide. Canada also won its semifinal over the United States by a conversion
Argentina led 12-7 at halftime. Canada's only first-half score was provided by John Moonlight, as was the opening try of the second half.Full Report to follow.
