We finally know which 16 teams will compete in the national playoffs, and with those programs settled in, we know more about the Top 25 than we have all season. With several of our top teams losing to other ranked teams in postseason play, we have to gauge which losses are better or worse than others.

The teams who did nothing but win are ranked at the top. Our top six teams are territorial champions. Our next five teams are TU runners up, and then it splinters from there. Some teams who are eliminated from title contention, like Missouri, Utah Valley, Towson, and Appalachian State, did enough in the regular season to warrant their ranking.

Near the bottom of the list, you'll notice Pepperdine is ranked above CS Fullerton despite losing to them Saturday. Well, Pepperdine beat CS Fullerton by the exact same margin (one) just a couple of weeks ago, and the Waves have the advantage in league points and will likely take the top seed out of SoCal.
