Rankings - Men DII College

Northern Colorado's Bryce Spaur with ball
Playoffs in the Midwest have seen the cream rise, with Whitewater, Northern Illinois, UW-Milwaukee and Ohio, all ranked before the Midwest sweet 16, winning their way to the semifinals.

Top-ranked Whitewater did so convincingly, as did NIU. Milwaukee and Ohio scraped by, each with a very close game. Our next ranking will come out right after the conclusion of the Midwest playoffs.

Salisbury and Northern Colorado bolstered their slots in the top five with wins over their toughest league opponents - Georgetown and the Colorado School of Mines, respectively.

Utah Valley has concluded its fall campaign with an unblemished record.

Coast Guard fell victim to Holy Cross, breaking the three-way tie for first in New England. The two-way tie, between Boston University and Rhode Island, goes to URI, who beat the Terriers earlier this year.

Central Missouri clinched a spot in the West semifinals Saturday with a 73-17 drubbing of Creighton. The Mules are extremely athletic but don't have the polish of their contemporaries. If they can sharpen and tighten their game by March, they could give UNC or Lindenwood a few problems come spring.

Lindenwood update: the Lions scored their fourth and fifth-consecutive 100-point games since our last Top 25 was published.
