Middlesex remains the top team in DII club rugby in New England after crushing Charles River 82-0 (score reported by ref is 82-0, while Middlesex reported 77-0).
"[It was the] best we have looked all year," said Middlesex Head Coach Josh Smith. "[We] used our traditional quick attack to perfection. Our transition from defense to offense is starting to wreak havoc."
Portland remained clear atop the Daly Conference with a big shutout of their own, 58-0 over Saratoga. Both games were inter-conference matches between conference leads and lower-standings teams. The most competitive match of the weekend was Laurence Conference #2 Burlington against Daly #2 Providence. The Vermont club outlasted the Rhode Island club 24-21. The results confirmed Burlington as 2nd in the Laurence.
