Oregon State Win Bunches PNW League
Colleges - Men's DI College

Four teams are at the top of the Northwest Collegiate Rugby Conference DI league after Central Washington, Washington State and Oregon State all won.

Oregon State had to work for it against a tenacious Western Washington team. Ryan Hanson scored the first try of the match but WWU equalized, and event after Hanson and then freshman prop Gavin Snyder score to make it 17-7, WWU came back with another try to close within three.

It wasn't until Mitch Fargher touched down after a driving maul from a lineout that OSU put it away 22-14.

UW got two tries from flanker Rowan Ringer in their 32-8 win over Washington. Central Washington defeated Oregon 64-0.

That leaves WSU, OSU and University of British Columbia at 2-0, all with bonus-point wins. Central Washington is 2-1 with ten points as well.

UBC looks in excellent shape to win the NCRC, but they aren't advancing in the USA Rugby DI playoffs, and neither is College Premier League team CWU. So in part the race to the playoffs could be for third, and leading the way among those teams are Washington State and Oregon State.

Close behind them is Eastern Washington (1-1), and EWU takes on WSU next week. A week later, Washington State and Oregon State meet.
