Austin Huns Name New Coach
Clubs - Men's DI Clubs

The Austin Huns have announced that they have signed on a new Head Coach for the 2012-2013 season, Pete Pettinari.

Pettinari comes from Australia, where he coach at the Brothers club in Brisbane.

Kirk Tate, the Huns Head Coach for the last 10 years, will continue to serve as forwards

coach and on the club’s Board of Directors.

“I am very excited to have Coach Pettinari join our program,” said Tate. “He will help our club move forward, and at the same time, it will allow me to focus more on family and club administration.”

“I’d define my coaching style as a mix between adaptive and structural rugby. I like to promote playing what’s in front of you and reacting on the run. To do this, you have to make sure a team is well versed in the different aspects of tactical rugby,” said Pettinari.

Pettinari will be implementing practice plans for the club from Australia in October, and will move to Texas in November.
