New Orleans improved to 4-0 and jumped back into first
place in the USA Rugby South DI club league with a 45-0 shutout of Boca Raton
Saturday.
NOLA was led by a strong performance from their backline,
with threequarters Bobby Johns, Adam Ducoing, Alex Phillpot, Brad Guarisco, and
Ross Bellaci all scoring tries.
Pack members Nick Benvenutti and Paul Bode also touched
down, while Guarisco added five conversions to notch a personal tally of 15
points.
New Orleans coach Jerry Malina said he was pleased with
the score, “particularly the zero.”
New Orleans ran on all seven subs in the second half, but
then suffered an injury, forcing them to play a man down for the final 20
minutes. Even then , they kept Boca off the scoresheet.

Hey Alex, Generally pleased with the scoreline,
particularly the zero. We travelled with 22 and used all subs shortly after
halftime. Unfortunately due to injury had to play a man down for the last 20
mins. The scoreline was 31-0 at half and 45 nil fulltime. Five tries came
throught the backs Bobby Johns, Adam Ducoing, Alex Phillpot, Brad Guarisco, and
Ross Bellaci. Two came through the forwards Nick Benvenutti and Paul Bode.
Guarisco was 5 of 7 on conversions.
