The Denver Barbarians have withdrawn from the West-North DI league, citing a desire to focus on the Super League, a source said. RUGBYMag.com had the Barbos as 2-1 in fall league play. Those games will be stricken from the West records, a la Aspen in 2010/2011.
The remaining teams, Glendale, Kansas City Blues, Denver Highlanders and Boulder, will continue league play in the spring. The Barbos have had trouble fielding two sides in recent years, having to routinely use Super League players in DI matches, especially on the road. The Glendale Raptors lead the West-North with a 3-0 record heading into the spring, with wins over all three league opponents. The Blues sit in second place, having defeated Boulder and the Highlanders, and the Highlanders are in third place having defeated Boulder.
