| Detroit Win Keeps Tradesmen In the Hunt |

The Detroit Tradesmen did what they had to do to finish 2nd in the Midwest DI Club Eastern League, now they have to wait. The Tradesmen defeated league leaders the Cincinnati Wolfhounds 32-25 in Detroit. In the end, in a league where road points are very hard to come by, Cincinnati did well to secure (one) bonus point for a close loss. (An earlier report saying the 'Hounds scored four tries was incorrect.) Still, they now run the risk of losing 1st place to Buffalo, who destroyed Indianapolis in the Nickel City 81-7. With the bonus-point victory, Buffalo can now overtake Cincinnati if the Wolfhounds falter against Indianapolis next week, and Buffalo wins at Columbus. If Buffalo loses to Columbus, Detroit Tradesmen claim the 2nd-seed into the Midwest playoffs. Perhaps the more likely scenario is that Cincinnati and Buffalo both win next week, and that will leave the Wolfhounds 1st, vault Buffalo into second, and leave Detroit in 3rd.
