Bowl Time For Three Rugby Players

It's Bowl time for some rugby players in College Football.

Here's a quick rundown of Bowl games rugby players are involved in:

Dec. 29: Valera Alamo Bowl.
Sophomore lineback Brett Thompson, who played for Arizona in the USA 7s Collegiate Rugby Championships last June, is on the roster for Arizona against Oklahoma State. Thompson, the son of High School All Americans coach Salty Thompson.

Jan. 3, 2011: Discover Orange Bowl.
Defensive back and former Gonzaga HS rugby standout Johnson Bademosi will play for Stanford against Virginia Tech. Bademosi has one interception, 36 tackles, and nine passes broken up or defended this season.

Jan 4, 2011: Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Defensive back and former USA U19 and U20 fullback Nate Ebner, who, like Thompson, played for his school at the Collegiate 7s in June, will play for Ohio State. Ebner has 12 tackles on the season.
