The latest rankings of the D1-A men's college teams.

Many of the D1-A teams are back in action now and gives RUGBYMag.com a chance to re-evaluate our preseason rankings.

Unbeaten and, really, untouched, BYU stays firm at #1, with Arkansas State, Life and St. Mary’s all secure in the next three spots. St. Mary’s could have bumped up one or two places, but in the end, ASU and Life started their D1-A seasons strong enough to stay where they are.

Arizona State moves up a little after playing Army close. Our issue with ASU and Arizona is that Arizona beat the Sun Devils in the fall, but in recent matches against like opponents (Cal and Army), ASU has fared somewhat better. Right now we’ll pick head-to-head over a result once removed, but it’s something to watch for.

Penn State beat Arizona State, but their match against Arizona appears to not have been apples v apples, so the result may not apply at the moment.

No head-to-head in PSU v CWU, so Central Washington drops down below Penn State after both played BYU, and Penn State came out a little less smacked around than the Wildcats.

The only other major move is Cal Poly, whose strong buildup results, along with an earlier win over UC Davis, move them in to the top 20 and drop Oklahoma out.
