Maybe I overstated it when I said that the scoreboard didn't matter, but maybe we are too heavily fixated on what the scoreboard happens to say at the END of the game. There's something wrong when a team can dominate the whole time and then lose just because a team happens to be lucky enough to pull ahead at the last minute. Does that credit the team that actually led for the majority of the game? Maybe victory and defeat should be based not on the score at the end (which could be either team) but rather based on a calculated average lead. Say you go up by 7 at 10 minutes and are tied up at 22 minutes. 12x7=84. At the end of the game, add up your leads and divide by 80. I get that it is unfeasible, especially at the amateur level, but it is a much fairer way of showing the better team. Much less crude than elevating the 80th minute (and your lucky tap and goes) over the 79 that went before it.

Having been involved in Rugby and played since I was 10 years of age, I find myself looking back at my time in the sport, mostly back home in England and wonder who the people posting are? Rugby is a sport built on respect and a love for the game, the majority of posts here are obviously entered by people without the correct education and conduct to be considered rugby players. For those of you that think this is what rugby is about and intentional hurt or rude comments and bravado is what makes rugby great please take you cleats to a football field. As an interested party in the upcoming finals I am disgusted to read such a degradation of world class sport. You should be embarrassed. If these are club posting then the club chairman should be denying field time to these people. Grow up and realise you are a part of a world wide nation and you are letting us all down.

You are right, Tampa got killed in the scrums all game, were losing for most of it and got lucky with some tap and go towards guys who were dog tired...Tampa wont win again but that better not stop them from moving up...Tampa go hang yourself's!!! Specially number #3, fat bastard That's Northeast rugby for you. Can't take it that a team from the South won out. Ya'll whine almost as much as the Socal boys. Notice how Krewe has been quiet in these posts. That's because champions don't talk trash; they don't need to.
