Not quite accurate. Utah had planned on sending a representative to the playoffs, just like last year. In fact, they did send a team and at the last minute PCRFU changed who they were playing and the venue. They had been scheduled to play Motherlode and at the last minute they were changed t play against Sacramento. Needless to say, it is unfair to state that Lowland never intended to participate...They had every intention of participating.

Im not saying Kent, Alameda or Motherlode did anything wrong, I just think if between the 3 of them if they couldn't play a game then the teams that played the qualifier should get to go to the nationals. High School Rugby, guys or girls should be about letting the kids play! If I had a vote it would be for Lowland gettng the #2 seed out of the Pacific.

if you look at Kent's website, they seem to be going to Nationals. USA rugby does not have a #2 from pac coast listed. I wonder who will go?

From an outsider looking in I would say if Lowland and the Amazons were the only two teams to play a qualifier, Then they should be the two teams to receive bids to Nationals.

Motherlode was willing to travel. but tickets were to expensive for saturday. several options were suggested, but kent chose to not accomodate ANY of the solutions that were offered. Kent is the one who should get the forfiet. Must be nice to manipulate a second "free" bid to nationals ..... Kent hasn't played anyone to get to nationals and refused to play motherlode on any day but saturday the 7th. What ever happened to this beening about letting the girls play ? this is my first year involved in this sport with my daughter, not impressed with Kent, the PCRF or the USA Rugby response to this situation.

Please don't blame Alameda for what happened. In fact, we weren't even supposed to go, as we finished 4th place in the league. Mother Lode, the 2nd place team, is supposed to go to play Kent. If they were unable to travel, then 3rd place Bishop O'Dowd should go. Please correct this error. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
