JeremyBender, According to a Rugbymag article a few weeks ago, Colorado Springs cannot go to Nationals because Colorado SBO teams are not members of the Western Territory because they do not pay West dues. After years of not sending teams to the West RFU Championship, Colorado SBO decided they wanted to compete this year, but they were denied by the West RFU because they requested participation after a dealine had past and because they do not pay dues to the West RFU (and I'm not editorializing or picking sides in this dispute). It's a shame that Colorado Springs is missing out on the opportunity to compete - they sound like an outstanding team.

Where is Colorado Springs U-19 club in this mix? They put up a splendid show v Highland last month and I was looking forward to seeing a re-match. They're odds-on faves to take CO state championship tomorrow night, and the side they'll play pretty much worked the Jr. Blues while touring this spring.

Kent Washington says it is too difficult to get the game in ..... so the fact they they knew last thursday that they could pick any day this week and Motherlode would have came up and played. it was just too expensive to get there on saturday and they refused to play on Sunday, even after we had flights booked they refused any flexibilty. Kent is the one that is unwilling to play for the right to go to nationals, the forfeit should be on them not our girls. Motherlode has offered MANY different solutions to get the two teams together. I think they just dont want to play and spoil another free ride to nationals.

Hey Rugby Fan and Pat, USA Rugby is accurate on this report.. Fallbrook girls and Boys have qualified for the national the Boys Via the High school route and the Ladies Via Club Route.. Since fallbrook plays high school and Club side rugby, Fallbrook has options, must be nice ..lol.. Since securing the SoCal high school championship earlier during the year, Fallbrook was automatic in for the National, Now it was a different story when Fallbrook changed over from High school to club side U 19 rugby,It was too much for the high school to compete with on the club side..Blown out by Oceanside and Tied Belmont Shore in a friendly game.. So Cal Championship was this past saturday and Belmont Shore Beat Oceanside to secure a spot to the National from the club side.. Long Story short, two ways to get into the National either High school or Club side..hope this was not too informative..
