Mr G-dub, my statement was of my observation on how at the Reds vs Blues match I saw multiple players from the Blues on the field who had competed the week before. That's perfectly legal, just thought it to be humorous after the other controversy. There was one of those particular players in our match with the blues who mentioned something about how he was D1 and their club would crush us..forgot to mention at the time how we (Shreveport) at the time knocked them out of the west 2 years ago. I've been to the sweet 16s at the D1 level and to be truthful no one outside of the sport really cared much then. You're affiliated with rugby or you aren't. If you're the latter you probably don't give a flip. Thank you for stirring our pot, some good motivation is never a bad thing. Good luck to the reds going further since I jacked their thread here.

What I saw was the Blacks coach go over to shake hands with the DARC coach after a superb game of rugby played by both sides and unfortunately the DARC players still stung by losing a heart breaker took their frustrations out on the opposition coach..I saw it with my own eyes,it was low class z grade sportsmanship (only by a few individuals certainly not the whole team)I just find it funny that everything is rosy when you beat teams by 70 points but when you lose,a fight breaks out...hence the school yard bully reference. I do actually think DARC would be competitive at D1 level & in a few years be able to compete with the Blacks, Reds & Quins.I am a rugby supporter with no allegiance to any team, I love watching quality rugby which DARC plays a lot of the time & I wish you guys luck in Cali. But this article was about the Reds and their great effort against KC & the DARC guy thinks that the world revolves around DARC & D3...News flash pal, no one cares until u play with the big boys

Educate yourself before throwing your darts, please. If you must know no formal complaint was lodged by DARC. We simply proved that the Competition Management System had been changed from the original entry six months prior. Seems shady huh??? However, that may be the only way to get things done in USA Rugby. The Texas Rugby Union took it upon themselves to discipline the person who self admittedly cheated, or whatever misnomer you choose to give. We are a group of friends who enjoy playing with each other, we are good. We play as a team, learn from us and see how high you can lift when every person helps. The players run this club, not some politically savvy old boy living vicariously through some talent. I understand why most would be jealous of the game we play. Good luck to you and whomever it is you support but I do feel we will prove what Texas rugby is on it's way to becoming. Sincerely yours, CIC

What bad sportmanship are you talking about? All of the drama took place the Texas championships and ended before the final game. The west basically gave their blessing for blatant cheating. We put up our dispute to the board a decision was made and we moved on. That's a nice picture you painted though do explain why we are school yard bullies?

It seems to me that DARC are totally concerned with everyone elses business as opposed to worrying about their own backyard. That bad sportsmanship displayed down in Austin a few weeks ago was something that the people associated with DARC should be ashamed of. To me DARC are a bunch of school yard bullies hiding in the D3 competition and once finally beaten after dominating their conference they react the way they did..."If you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two impostors just the same" I think the boys from DARC should take a leaf out of Rudyard Kipling's book....2ndly Well done to the Reds for making the final 16 of the D1 competition. I remember you guys not so long ago were the whipping boys of the Texas League and it is great to see your club turned around. I have watched a couple of your games this year & u guys are playing great team rugby, plus I love the song at the end of ur games. Good luck to both The Blacks and the Reds in San Diego, Do Texas Proud.

It was interesting to see 4-5 players from the KC Blues on the field who had just competed in the DIII westerns championships in Austin. My questions is, were the Blues short handed this past weekend or did they need to drop a few to try to qualify their DIII side a few weeks back? I'd like to think it's the second option, either way it's a long way back from Texas part dos.
