Middlebury has a solid team this year and they will definitely pull through to outshine Salisbury. When it comes down to it, they're a dedicated team and their passion and strength will dominate on their journey to victory. Also, nice picture "King" Kalan!

1st off Congrats to Salisbury. I played the entire game and in my opinion South Florida was a much better opponent than Sals. We made key errors that Sals capitalized on with three tries, and thats why they're going to Pittsburgh instead of us. That game was one of the top three most competitive and exciting games I've played in 4 years. Also we have already decided that we want a match against Salisbury in the Fall, our match secretary will be contacting them soon. 3rd the ECU v. Mary Wash. we played them after only a week of practice, Lack of conditioning was the true story of that game. and as for App State, while you guys were at Charleston we were in Florida and the Elite Eight. Good Luck this weekend Salisbury, when we hopefully play you again in the Fall, we want to be playing the defending champs. Oh yeah these rankings are stupid.

I have seen Salisbury play a couple times. They are good... The team I thought played them the best and actually beat them in the pack was Mary wash ... Apparently they start 10 freshman and 3 sophs ad beat ECU by 25 at ECU. Salisbury was def better but Mary wash is for real...

Greene - - you're wrong. ECU lost. Doesn't matter why or how or to who. You/they should get pissed off and take your revenge out next year. I think their biggest problem during that match is they stepped in front of a buzz saw. When SU is rolling, even the ref can't stop the train. Choo Choo bitches. Sharks eat panthers!

Greene - I am a Salz grad who played there and love that everyone (as you are now) hacks on it's team year in and out while they are one of the most consistent teams in D2.It's not coincidence or bad reffing that puts Middlebury, Salz, now MSU and a few others into nationals every-year, it's solid and consistent play throughout the season. If you are pissed at the team you root for, email the coach and let him know. Don't be a sore loser....everyone loses each year except the National Champ....

We played both Salisbury and ECU and both of them were very good. Salisbury was clearly the better team but the games happened at different times. ECU certainly had potential, just had not come together. My impressions on Salisbury was that they would beat most of the d1 teams (we played some of them as well and lost to Salisbury in the playoffs). cheers

Greene (with envy apparently), If The Salz beat ECU and Salisbury is going to get demolished at the Final Four then what would have ECU done in the Final Four????? Please feel free to set up a match w/ Salisbury anytime!!!! Go to salisburyrugby.com and contact the team to set it up. I am sure they would be willing to accommodate......Enjoy the bitter beer face that comes along with those sour grapes.....

And jumping on the my team deserves a better ranking train. Michigan State has 3 losses this year they are to Wisconsin Whitewater (#1 in DII), Sailsbury(#3 in DII), and Davenport (#2 in DI). With the exception of Davenport MSU was within striking distance or had the lead late in the game for each of these losses. A 10 minute meltdown lead to 2 quick tries and a sin bin to put the UW-Whitewater game out of reach. And after giving up the lead with 15 or less minutes in the Salisbury game MSU got inside 10 meters of the try line to take the lead back before knocking it on. But when it comes down to it its survive and advance. Good luck to the Final Four teams. What I wouldn't give to be there.

Every team in the final 16 feels underrated. Every team in the round of 16 can beat one another on any given day. There is parity in DII college rugby. The Salisbury, ECU, MSU, bracket was very competitive. All 3 of those teams gave each other all they could handle. The refs were consistent over the weekend they let people play in the grey areas of offsides and Salisbury took advantage of that in both games and its likely what landed them in the final four. Playing to the refs is a huge part of rugby because there are LAWS not rules they leave room for interpretation. And living on the edge of the laws is the best way to beat a team thats just as good as you.
