Some of these rules are asinine, tights!?? We already have half the squads wearing Knute Rockne vintage era helmets and shoulder pads. Conversions 90 seconds? please! That's the worst part of the game, the too long deliberation on a kick. Should be 20 seconds - get on with it. It's now a long timeout. Hey....why not have 15 subs? One of the main attractions when I fell in love with rugby was that it was so different than american football. No subs except for injury, players tested and measured themselves vs opponents for 80 minutes. So I guess they are trying to turn rugby into american football? I look for halftime to be expanded with shows. Don't ruin our sport with this crap!

"Time wasting" refers to when the ball is out of play. At a ruck, the ball is in and there is currently nothing in the current Laws that says the attacking team needs to play it. They are, having won it, entitled to wait as long as they like.

Having the referee decide when the scrum should come together is not making anything safer...if fact I bet more scrums go down now than before. I think we need to take the HIT out of coming together. The law says they can not push before the ball is put in so why do we think it is ok to bash each other on the engagement? Take out the power before the ball comes in and remove much of the danger.
