Volney has a poise that is unsurpassed in rugby...when i was driving him to my office to sew up an eye without anesthesia..his mom called, after willing a game over uc davis, scoring the winning try on shear passion, he politely and in gael fashion credited the team, said not to worry , just going to get a sandwich, this intreped group, kyle 1/2, leatherby, coyne ,merliner o'meara swyrin, cakes, tate, show pony, and the rest, collapsed their battered bodies on the field, tape astrew, joints aching, tears in eyes from fans not even associated with the team, legendary coaches patting backs, bringing cal to their knees in the semis the next year...another ten minutes, all that was needed. the tiny mighty gaels...ragtag, wannabes who did it all, volney has it, kevin has it, props to the cal guys stanfill and scully et al.(gaels are gentlemen) put them in coach. passion is inbred not taught go gaels, go eagles

I think Hercus not being mentioned anywhere in the world shows that he must not be shining bright enough to be seen. Just my thought

Is Hercus completely out of the question? Sure, he's getting up there in age, but I heard his non-selection for the 2010 Churchill Cup and November internationals were due to injury. He was good enough at 10 to get them into RWC. Unless he's retired, I don't get why he's not in the conversation as a back up to Nese?
