"This is the way to do it, they have built something special, and now they can attract more and more US Born players." yes, this is the way to do it at a school with rolling admissions. schools with competitive to highly competitive admissions processes, not by a long shot.

Remember UW Whitewater was within 5 with 4 minutes and lost by 12. They were closer to them than anyteam except the Chicago Lions who actually beat them and the St Louis Bombers in the first ever game for the club back in September.

This team was a mens semi pro team. Placing them in division 2 and then glorifying their sucess is very disappointing. They looked closer to 30 years old then 20 years old and their various backgrounds show they absolutely had no business playing d2 teams and both Utah Valley and Salisbury had the real rights to the D2 championship. Shame on USA rugby and Lindenwood for allowing this to occur and I guess we have to thank god that no one was really hurt playing this team in their 80 point blow outs during the year!

Find me a person who loves Lindenwood and hates the Miami Heat. I bet there aren't many! "LU is doing the same thing foreign bball and gridiron clubs are doing with American athletes" Really?? Really?? So you hired Allen Iverson to come play on your team to teach your players how to play?? Nothing to do with ticket sales? All those millions for a few games to develop their players?

Unfortunately, at the university I coach at they are hiring civil engineering and philosophy professors and not billiards coaches. My pitch about turning rugby varsity so the can get more male high school students to apply fell on deaf ears because they have a 10 to 1 application to admission ratio. Guess my plans to offer scholarships to a flyhalf from England, a fullback from Australia, a tight head prop from South Africa, a specialist #7 from New Zealand, a hard running #8 from Samoa and a center from France have to be put on hold. Damn!
