Sounds great! A minimum of 6 matches in June wow. Hopefully the tournament will get the sponsorship and broadcast partners to really market and promote this competition to the public. I wonder if there is any chance the ARC could be expanded to October and February (with camps included for the domestic players)? Also, is a professional 15s club competition still in the cards? If so a season similar to the Super 15 where they break for the month of June and have the final in August might be a way to go. Maybe, the Grand Prix Rugby could be convinced to ditch it's interest in rugby league and invest in the 15s man game?

What the podcast hosts neglected to consider in the discussion about why some areas are better is the quality of the actual programs. Coaching, recruiting, team culture (which Bruce did touch on). Army has it tough. You either want to go to an academy or not. SMC, Life, ArkSt, BYU all have top end coaching, recruiting, and team culture.

The East Coasters' argument about the weather disadvantage is completely bogus. Arizona State and Arizona practice on concrete in 100+ degree weather for months of the year. Utah, BYU, Colorado, Central Washington and Wyoming practice in driving snow on frozen tundra. Arkansas State and Life practice and play in pizza ovens. It's well past time for the Midwest and Eastern seaboard teams to give-up on the excuse-making and get in the gym and video sessions.
