Good point. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that MN is trying to raise a lot of home grown talent with the HS programs and getting kids of UofM etc. It'll be interesting to see where things can go from here

Hey Big Jim, just a clarification, that was the Metropolis B side, the DIII side that won the national title for DIII. The A side, the D I side still made the sweet sixteens. How many clubs can say that their "B" Side can win a DIII title. Hope that clarifies things for you. A few years ago, Metropolis made the commitment to having it's B side commit to full DIII schedule. It has paid off huge dividends for the club-as the results have shown from the last couple of years.

Big Jim, I think he when he said "Minneapolis" he means Minnesota Rugby as a whole. Metropolis did win the D3 last year and had the D1 in the sweet 16 at the same time. But to have 3 teams from the same city all from 3 divisions make the 16, that's a renaissance my friend. *Metropolis-D1 *Eastside Banshees- D2 *St Paul Pigs- D3 Good on MN rugby good luck and keep the renaissance going!

Interesting that you said that Metropolis is leading a Minneapolis rugby renaissance. IIRC they've gone to the DI playoffs each year except one since they moved up and they won DIII last year. Would that be a rugby renaissance?
