"Anyone serious about playing more and better rugby apparently should be considering a move to the Pacific Northwest." Oh because the California clubs are such push-overs. Between SoCal clubs and SF Bay Area Clubs, it is hard to be anywhere else for serious rugby in the US. The one advantage the Pacific Northwest has is that is so much cheaper to live there.

A significant concern about the USA Eagles in the World Cup was the few number of matches being played by the domestic players, with only 8-9 challenging games per year. The club-combination of Seattle RFC (competing in one of the top-flight Canadian competitions in the Fall & spring), and OPSB ("Beach"), playing in the RSL seems to a unique way of solving that problem, with the players getting exposure to 20-ish 1st and 2nd XV matches in a year. Anyone serious about playing more and better rugby apparently should be considering a move to the Pacific Northwest.
