Allen - a 'Test' - really - its not an international... go back to rugby 101. Find it interesting that you are an expert on rugby fitness, playing abilities etc - hope you are applying that to further the game within Colorado...

this is was not from a reporter....this is a press release from a club...they can say or do what they wish... would be nice to have alot of things like, quotes from captains, etc. it is - what it is. glendale is a top club in the USA. they have a frickin allstar team, the best facilities and government tax dollars....they will be tough to beat for years.... but ....they will never be a club like the highlanders...ever....

Allen, it might be time you got over your grudge towards the highlanders? They are a much better team now than in the past few years. You sound like you don't know much about rugby. By the way the reporter is female and married to one of the Glendale coaches. The highlanders miss you "Allen".

Physrug-the last time i checked a test was 80 minutes. You are correct you went up against the best team in the country, without their starting side. Maybe you should have left everybody in division II and competed for a title. Rugby fitness requires dedication and determination something I hate to tell you the highlanders are lacking.

Allen - not sure you watched the same game as I as I did not see it as one sided as you... I noted that the Highlanders had improved a lot over their previous outing against Glendale... MAYBE the Highlanders have a different {not your typical American} game plan, which was applied best in the second half. Secondly - I noted that there were a total of 10 players on the Highlanders squad that have played almost all their season in Div II, shows great strengthen for the Highlanders to involve that many against the top team in the country. Regarding the article - it would have been nice if the reporter did comment or even note down who scored tries for the Highlanders - arent reporters suppose to be non-biased?

I think if the reporter would have reported correctly he would have stated that this Glendale team was not their first team at many positions. Lucky for the highlanders it was not their first side or the score would have been much worse. The highlanders look very unfit compared to teams in the past, and along with what seems to be a disorganized coaching staff his is a very mediocre team that would barely compete in division II . The highlanders pack seems unconnected with the backline which leads to broken plays and turnovers. The ball from the scrum seems to be slow motion. The highlanders have no outside attacking gameplan. The highlander backline seems to be sound in the fly and centers, but with the back three lost or just lacking the defensive skills to stop the opposing team you will continue to see a decent team score at will against this team. I see Glendale repeating and depending what team shows up in Dallas I guess we will wait and see who prevails Denver or Dallas ...

this is the only way for rugby to get reported....have someone from the club send in a press release. better than nothing. I have been asking for years to have standards in reports, like lineups, box scores, etc.....
