I was also a spectator, and I thought Tom did a reasonable job until a few players from San Mateo lost their minds. San Mateo was never really in this one, and with the 20 mins to go, a few decided to box instead of play rugby. I would be concerned if this is what Nor Cal D1 has come to.

Advice to Olympic Club: if you are going to play 'push the Polynesian' expect to get punched in the face. Moreover, your constant provoking throughout the match against San Mateo warranted retaliation. Tom Zanarini lost control early and was outclassed referring this match.

Utah Bros. MAY deserve to be in the play offs right now, they might not. The only way that we would have known for sure is if PCRFU had actually spelled out the requirements PRIOR to the season and then Utah Bros could have succeeded or failed on it's own merit. As it was, Utah Bros did the right thing filing the grievance. AND USAR did the right thing by seeing how the system was flawed and not making a team pay for the inconsistencies of the union. IF anyone is annoyed at anything, it should be directed at the union level and then they should insist that the union have a consistent and quantifiable system to resolve these things.

We totally agree with you, that's why Utah Rugby BROTHERS took the time to follow all USAR bylaws and all 2012 rules and regulations. We basically fought for your rights as a USAR member by holding USAR and PCRFU accountable to a higher professional level, not the "good o'l boy" level.

Next Year my Club is going to register in the middle of the regular Season, make our own schedule, and file a Grievance with our Territorial Union so that we can stay at Home for the First Round of Playoffs! I am sure the Utah Brothers are an excellent Team, but the various Rugby Territorial Unions, especially the PCRFU and including USA Rugby, need to become more Professionally organised.
