Reality Check, we could have easily won against Kenya in the Bowl Final in HK and against France if we would have just remained calm under pressure. And do you honestly think after the guys are together just since November and for their first tour, they are going to beat NZ,and some of the top-tier teams. This is going to take time for the team to gel and get comfortable with one another and improve on their game. I'm proud of what our guys accomplished these two tours!

Granted the wins in Tokyo weren't over the higher ranked teams. However I think the team is holding more passes and creating and finishing more opportunities in the last two rounds. Passing DOES matter and that is still too sloppy, loopy and not crisp enough. Also Durutalo does some good stuff (a number of turnovers stolen) but also in turn gets isolated all too easily and would definitely have the worst stats for dropped ball, a couple of which in HKG and Tokyo came just when the US was building pressure. I haven't been impressed with some poor decisions at vital times by Tai Enosa and if I was the coach I'd be having 2nd thoughts about including him for Glasgow and London. lastly, it's not only the Eagles who are throwing some poor passes. I think there's been a noticeable drop in standards and accuracy from NZ, England and Sth Africa this year, tho all three have suffered long-term injuries to multiple players.

It is very hard to judge the day 1 results, the games were played in severe wind and rainy conditions. The jerseys in the photo for this article weren't worn in Tokyo. Those are the Pan Am uni's, where that photo was taken. The boys played well on day 2, but too many knock ons from the younger guys to really score as well as they should have. If they hold on to the ball better they are capable of making the cup rounds!

Firstly lads we need to check the egos on the comments...awesome for USA to get 3 wins this past weekend. However as a coach said to me who I respect , they were against Hong Kong,Portugal and Kenya, and the Kenya win was with them having a man down. Mags is doing good , however we concede way to much and easily could of been 1-5 again. I don't see much improvement other than the boys spirits seem up We were still shut our against Australia and New Zealand were not even bothered by us.Hong Kong should of beaten us ...that is a worry!!!!

A very creditable performance from the Eagles playing with urgency, flair and purpose. What a difference from a few tournaments ago. The boys are showing their skills, playing as a team and moving up the rankings. Looking forward to see them do even better in Glasgow and London.

Test was at his best as a runner. Good work putting some distance between yourselves and the guys coming up behind them...but now it is time to become the "guy coming up behind" Wales, Aussie, England, etc... Eagles were already there a couple of years ago under the old Coach.
