@ GrantCole, We're really looking forward to the St. Thomas match. St. Thomas is a great program and Jim Wolfinger is a true class act(luckily there are many such guys in HS rugby). Texas is definitely on our radar for a domestic tour in the future and we'd love to see more of you come north for a NYC tour in the meantime.

Xavier doesn't tour internationally EVERY year. They're going to Ireland this year, and they made a very brief trip to Ontario last year, but they have also toured to Ohio/Pennsylvania and California's Bay Area in recent seasons. I agree with Grant-- a tour to Texas/Louisiana would be fun. Maybe next year? I would also suggest to high school and U19 teams across America that a trip to New York anytime during the spring season would be worthwhile. Xavier plays its home games on Randall's Island in the middle of the East River. Playing good rugby against the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline is an experience your kids will never forget. (Bring your cameras!)

St. Thomas is a class act and should easily defend their Texas championship. But this is the second year -- not the first -- that state is as high as they are allowed to go. Now, they tour and take on the top programs instead of wasting time on an "invitational." I'll bet their boys get a lot more out of seeing Philly, NYC and playing great teams than they would going to Nowheresville Utah during finals or prom. Good on ya'! BTW, the candy cane jerseys look great ... but those shorts???

St Thomas has weapons at every position. Wolfie & Brett are excited to put the lads up against Gonzaga & Petri's Xavier. It would be nice to see Pride, Gonzaga or Xavier down in the Houston-area for Spring Break next year. Texas HS Rugby is in full-swing at that time and matches against The Woodlands, Katy, St. Thomas or any of the other Houston teams would be fun to watch!
