Captain - The story had to be told. Even better with your corrections! Sounds like ya'll (players, school, alumni, parents) came together as a team to make the trip happen when many were saying your team was just cannon fodder. I guess this is a good explanation of why they were playing with so much heart and why they were having so much fun on the pitch. BTW, Wifey commented that your #12 & #14 looked like a couple of velociraptors on the pitch. Gratz to your daughter on MVP! Looking forward to seeing your pics up somewhere!

Let me make a few corrections to the above, Grant - Norwich got a bid w/barely three weeks prior to travel. Admin was behind the trip w/the condition that athletes secure their professor's permission & accommodations for exams. Took a bit to get 55 professors to respond. Athletic budget was empty as 7's has yet to exist as a line item. Thanks to the NU Scrum Alums, a supportive administration, athletic department, & current parents the whole thing came together. Travel was an unexpected goat rope; but, meeting folks like you made the trip special. Thanks for your support, too! RLTW ~ Papa B

Norwich has always considered rugby to be a 2nd class sport since before I graduated and I'd expect nothing less from school admin. Congrats to the ladies for overcoming adversity and winning the college 7s. Good luck in 15s in the spring

I do hope Pat did some interviews to get the WHOLE story on Norwich! School Admin had to be coaxed to allow them to attend. Money had to be scrounged to travel. The team got split up by travel snafus and some didn't arrive in Aggieland until 3am Friday! This D2 team was the smallest in physical size, but the biggest in heart & hustle! More cowbell! Thanks to their family members for making cheering for them so much fun!!!
