Dave, Thank you for the well wishes. We have several teams in the local Boston area. Just contact me with the details of your travels - Of course, there is Saranac Lake, NY - Upstate, NY that is the host of the Can-Am Rugby Tournament - AMAZING time! I would really love to see the game film so that i can watch the tackle that caused my injury and also to see my mates playing - it was the hardest thing to be there and not be able to continue. Cheers, Carrick

Mr. Pell, I am truly sorry for your injury (and your teammates). I will get a hold of you when we start the actual planning of our trip. I am really against dirty play of any kind. I have reviewed the game film that we have and there is NO scene of face stomping. Best of luck to you and your mate. thank you we would love to play a club of your reputation. Do you know of any other teams in the area would be interested in a game also? or do you have any tournaments you participate in your area? Thanks.

I was the Captain/9 for Gypsy Rugby v Provo at Wild West. I sustained a shattered orbital in the opening minutes of the match and it was not malicious or intended. However, while reviewing the CT scan, a nurse notified me that a teammate was getting stitches in his face. Upon seeing my teammate w over 50 stitches in his facemy first question was, "what was the refs response?". When I was told he didn't call a penalty, give a warning or any disciplinary action, I was shocked. Then I heard it was the second player from GRC to have been stompped on the face in the same game - with no disciplinary action. Both faces are clearly marked from boots and I was informed that it occured away from the ball (hence no disciplinary action bc the ref didn't see it). I am the first one to be frustrated about how strict the "rucking" law is enforced. However, there is no excuse or reason for anyone's face/head. It's deplorable and cowardly!
Can Mr New York Rugger tell what club he plays for? Or which team he is a cheerleader for haha because your saying a whole lot of nothing if no one even knows where your from. Then trying to make this about grammer??? haha never mind don't say where your from because I'm sure they wouldn't claim you after your ridiculous comments. Do you want to be a rugby player or a english teacher? Or maybe just stick to being a online cheerleader because obviously thats the only thing your good at.

This will be my last comment, I am aware of the reputation that is affiliated with our team. I believe this is mostly due to our physical style of play. If anyone would like to e-mail me articles or training information you feel would help our club, we would gladly accept. As for "face stomping" and this and that... I have game film of ALL of our games in the last 6+ years which refutes so. Mr. NY Rugger, it's not the grammar or spelling that is important in a comment, it's the subject and message. this is not English 2020! By the way, we are making a trip out east, what club do you play for? we can try and set something up, if you are interested. Thanks and have a Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Please learn how to write before you get on the boards and try to talk trash. Your comments don't make any sense because of your misspelled words, misplaced periods, and horrible grammar. Maybe if you started playing D1 teams, you'd start hearing of us. Or better yet, quit losing in the first round of nationals and you'll meet clubs like ours.

No mention of the player who had his FACE stomped on by the Provo player and had to get 30+ stitches?! Very similar to the 2000 Aspen Ruggerfest where the player was stomped and kicked in the head. When is USA Rugby going to step in before someone gets killed?? This type of violence is an absolute DISGRACE and needs to be stopped once and for all.
