I agree with USA's comments, however the man to develop all these coaches with no personal ego is Loffreda, took the Pumas to no 3 in the world from nowhere, just take a look at his win ratio over 7 years with the pumas - over 75 % - speaks for itself and he has a great feel for amateur / pro rugby, the choice is simple !

Tim Lewis is the only viable candidate for the Eagle's position. I say this with a unique perspective. I have played against, with and for him. Most importantly I have observed him coach in NZ. I participated in the planning and strategy session between him and Eroll Brain (currently Portuguese Natl Coach) while at Taranga Sport. I watched the drills, the conditioning, the speed, the intensity and the level of commitment he got from his players. Tim brought a global perspective of rugby to NZ. In talking to the players they were amazed that a "yank" could teach rugby to Kiwis. Over 18 players under his study have gone on to play professionally. He has coached and assisted at the Club, Heartland, Provincial, and Super 15 level. There is nothing in the US comparable to what he has lived these past 15 yrs. if you want the status quo - hire someone else. If you want excellence for the Natl team - hire Tim Lewis. Questions?
I really wish people who dont see how much work and devotion it takes to promote that organization. It we had qualified coaches that had international experience at that level in the USA, that would be fine. There is nothing wrong with brining in someone with knowledge, Im pretty sure in this country we are all immigrants and should promote any one who will grow this sport

Mr. Melville's salary needs to be reduced as well. The board must have been drunk when they agreed to pay the CEO of USA Rugby more than a quarter of a million dollars a year.
