KU is ranked because they have a South African playing for them at flyhalf. The kid knows how to win a game. Met him once and he is a cool guy

Sorry we missed the OU v KU result. It wouldn't have changed the standings in any way. I will say, that as a lifelong Kansas Citian, I am glad to see KU and MU fans still arguing. Keep it going, keep the rivalry alive if nowhere else other than the rugby pitch.

As already said, Mizzou won its first Heart of America match saturday against Oklahoma's D1A squad, 31-29 (6-0 in collegiate play). Kansas was not idle as they completed the Oklahoma sweep 40-5 immediately after.

sort of related to the ranking i think, does anybody know what teams or what conferences will be getting the at-large bids for nationals? i've heard rumors but i can't find any solid answers. looking at the brackets it would make sense that 2 of the bids will go to teams out west and the third looks like any team east of the mississippi. i've heard miami(oh) or bg but there's still conferences that haven't started league play yet. anyone know?

We also take into account wins over DI-A teams, which happen rather often. Can't count the wins for some teams and not the losses.

You do realize these rankings don't count for anything right? Take them as more of just a gauge of how well a team is playing rather than an exact science. Tennessee is a very good team and everyone who somewhat follows college rugby knows that. Teams aren't going to look at rugbymag's rankings and take them lightly.

It's great to see so many Southeast Conference teams in the top 25. I suggest that games with any team that is not a D1-AA team should not count when developing these lists. It would be likely that a scrimmage with a D1-A team will result in a loss and a game against a D-3 team would probably be a win. Tennessee lost to Maryland and Life University. I suggest that the Life game should not be counted in the Volunteer's record. Tennessee stepped up to scrimmage a higher division opponent and, in my opinion, should not be penalized for stepping up.
