The downside of Gillette is that it is miles, absolutely miles, from Boston. Fenway has the perfect location, but the inside of the stadium is not really big enough, as proven by the small pitch configuration for the Celtic match recently. would be great to have it played in Harvard Stadium!

Probably not Fenway. MLS' New England Revolution plays at Gillette Stadium (formerly Foxborough). From the pic here http://www.revolutionsoccer.net/stadium/gillette-stadium-overview, we can tell that the venue certainly has the necessary space.

Interesting..... I could see Gillette but Fenway? With Red Sox ownership now heavily invested in English Premier Soccer (They bought Liverpool) perhaps they would test the waters with Rugby? I have to admit it is intriguing and would be an awesome event.

Lads- Fenway could not hold a reasonable size rugby pitch. The Patriots played there years ago and that 52-yard-wide field barely made it. Next option??
